Break Away is a FREE holiday programme that runs during the January School Holidays – We have a bus that collects from Flaxmere and our Hastings Office.
YMCA provides access to a range of constructive activities, both physical and non-physical, for ”at risk” youth during the school holidays. The programme helps young people build their social, interpersonal and communication skills, so that they can manage and respond positively to challenges and make positive choices about their lives.
The programme targets young people aged between 11 – 18 years who would not normally attend a school holiday programme.
Keep an eye out on our website for more information as the time gets closer!
Young Leaders Camps
The aim of our Young Leader Camps is to provide opportunities for young people, aged 13-18, to build confidence and develop their personal leadership qualities and skills. These skills will be utilized in their communities and environments.
This training provides young people with knowledge and experience to lead themselves and others.

This is a youth development programme that is run by youth for youth. Raise up provides opportunities to develop young people’s leadership skills whilst planning, implementing and delivering youth focused events within their communities.
The aim is to empower young people to foster a sense of pride and respect for themselves, and the communities in which they live in, through personal ownership and leadership development.
